Vote for them campaign toolkit

Resources to encourage voter turnout in local government elections

To help improve voter turnout in Western Australian local government elections, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) and WALGA have joined forces to create a new campaign called Vote for them with the objective of increasing turnout by 3%.

Most of the campaign activity will be delivered digitally and is scheduled around the time that voting packages arrive in voter letterboxes.

The Vote for them campaign highlights concrete examples of the services and infrastructure that local government is responsible for that make our communities great places to live.

We encourage you to play your part to encourage voting in local government elections.

You can amplify the campaign by using the social media tiles on this page to remind your community of the importance of voting and the great work that local governments do.

You may be interested in personalising this campaign to your local community. If that is the case then you can utilise the design elements here to create your own tiles. You might want to feature a local library, park, recreation centre or even public art.

You can download the zipped InDesign packaged folder to customise your artwork. Adobe InDesign is required to open and edit these files.
