Logo and acknowledgement: Western Australia — It’s Like No Other

Logo and acknowledgement guidelines for Western Australia — It’s Like No Other.

This quick guide provides practical guidance to DLGSC grant recipients on applying Western Australia — It's Like No Other.

Wordmark

The State Coat of Arms and Western Australia — It’s Like No Other is a universal signature across communications.

It is important that you do not change the wordmark. The wordmark must be used as a whole and cannot be modified, tweaked, skewed or scaled disproportionately, or colour corrected for any reason.

It is also important that the wordmark is locked up with the State Coat of Arms and is not used on its own.

Minimum size

When using State Coat of Arms and Western Australia — It’s Like No Other in printed collateral, please make sure that the sizing State Coat of Arms part of the logo is no smaller than 1.5cm in width.

All communications that are larger than A3 can use a 10% rule with the shortest side to work out a good minimum size.

The same 10% rule can be applied to digital applications. See below example.

Example of the 10 per cent rule for logo use.

Placement

Please make sure that the distance around the logo is no smaller that the width of the State Coat of Arms.

If you are using another logo on your promotional material, do observe the above distance and do not put it too close to the State Coat of Arms and Western Australia — It’s Like No Other.

A few don'ts

You should also be careful not to:

  • change the size or shape
  • place on a patterned background
  • distort
  • re-create the logo using different fonts
  • use the words Western Australia — It’s Like No Other without the State Coat of Arms
  • attach other words.

There are three file formats available:

  • EPS is suitable for signage and high quality printed materials.
