Intro
Not only does sport and recreation nurture our physical and mental health, it also provides tremendous social and economic benefits — valued at $10.3 billion annually. In recent years these benefits have underpinned sport and recreation delivery across the sector and together we must showcase the sector as a leading player in facilitating this.
The following priorities recognise the great work that is already being done by the industry to support the delivery of sport and active recreation in a changing landscape. They also provide opportunities for government, industry and community to work together and support the growth of the sector for generations to come to ensure that every West Aussie feels welcome and included in sport and recreation regardless of age, gender, race or ability.
In partnership with the State Government, the sport and recreation sector will focus on the identified priorities with a shared vision to deliver a safe and inclusive environment for all to participate in sport and recreation.
