Applications are now open for the Community Use of School Sporting Facilities Program, which aims to make sport more accessible to Western Australians, particularly in areas where demand for community sporting facilities is high.

Funding of up to $50,000 is available for WA public schools to buy essential equipment like goalposts, nets, hoops, and backboards, as well as to upgrade facilities with features like gates, locks, and monitoring systems to ensure safe and secure access.

This will enable more community sporting groups to access school facilities such as basketball and netball courts, volleyball courts, ovals, and indoor sports halls.

The program is available to WA public primary and secondary schools, provided they partner with at least one community sporting group.

The first round of applications close at 5:00 pm Friday 21 March 2025.
