The small grants round provides financial support of up to $500,000 for community sport and recreation facilities to undergo renovations. This round of funding will upgrade 31 facilities across Western Australia, including enhanced field lighting and better changerooms and female amenities.

These essential improvements will make facilities more accessible, increasing the level of physical activity participation in our communities.

A total of 15 CSRFF and 16 CNLP projects were successful. Some of the funded projects from the July 2024 small grants round include:

• upgrades to the female amenities and change rooms at the Pioneers Football and Sporting Club, Newman — $61,000
• the construction of new cricket nets and two wickets at Sir Ross McLarty Oval, Pinjarra — $131,988
• 100 lux floodlighting upgrades at Ken Allen Field, Beaconsfield — $108,798
• the installation of a new solar heating system at Bruce Rock Aquatic Centre — $65,813.

The funded projects amount to a total of $2,117,907 — a major investment in community sport.
