The projects include the re-development and upgrade of the Piara Waters Library, Burtonia Gardens in Piara Waters and Yellowwood Park in Harrisdale.
Completed in August, the Piara Waters Library re-development received $1 million in funding towards the construction of a recreational youth space.
The youth space includes the following features:
There are also areas for collaboration and quiet reflection, alongside community meeting rooms which are available for hire. Together with a contribution from the City of Armadale, the total cost of the project was $9.3 million.
Funding of $400,000 went towards creating a family-friendly recreational space for the Piara Waters community with a focus on youth-orientated equipment and park amenities at Burtonia Gardens. Total cost of the project was $480,000 including City of Armadale funds.
