The Off-road Vehicle (ORV) Area Establishment and Major Upgrade Grants Program will offer grants totalling $4.8 million to help local governments ensure that infrastructure and facilities keep pace with the growing popularity of off-road recreational activities.

From today, local governments can apply for grants to support the upgrade and maintenance of existing areas, as well as encourage the development of new sites.

Individual grants of up to $1 million will be allocated for the creation of new sites and grants of up to $200,000 for expanding and upgrading existing sites.

Applicants will need to have a clear project plan, outline their intended contribution to the project, and show evidence of community consultation.

To find out more or submit an application, visit the funding page on our website or email orv@dlgsc.wa.gov.au

Applications close on 8 November 2024.

Enquiries can be made by emailing orv@dlgsc.wa.gov.au or phoning 61 8 6552 1786.

This grant program is in addition to the $225,000 already provided this year to upgrade the York and Ledge Point ORV areas, funding track development, signage improvements, and building new amenities.
