This extra funding from the State Government via the DLGSC is additional to the $8 million already invested and separate to a Lotterywest contribution of $1.9 million.
The $11.4 million project incorporates a multifunctional library and technology hub, a youth space including a digital hub space and media facilities, small performance spaces, activity and business start-up rooms, and a senior citizens club space.
It will provide significant social and economic benefits to local residents, as well as supporting the regional economy.
