Good afternoon,

As you will already be aware, the Perth and Peel regions lockdown has ended.

We are now in a post-lockdown transition period until 12:01am, Saturday 1 May 2021 with some mandatory restrictions. Information on the current restrictions can be found on the WA.gov.au website.

The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is continuing to service our stakeholders and the community during this transition period. Please note that department staff in the Perth and Peel regions will be delivering services online where practical. This means that:

• the department can continue to be contacted through existing channels. Visit the department’s contact us page for details
• individual staff can be contacted through their existing email address
• meetings and consultation with staff should be conducted online where possible.

If you need to visit a department site during this period, please ensure you wear a face mask, sign in through the SafeWA app or contact register and maintain physical distancing.

Please do not attend a department site if you are unwell or have flu-like symptoms. Follow the health advice on WA.gov.au and present for a COVID-19 test.

For department staff and sites outside the Perth and Peel regions, it is business as usual. However if you have been to Perth or Peel since 17 April, and plan to visit a department site in another region, you must wear a face mask.
