Intro
The industry is flourishing and this is evidenced by the unprecedented increase in new registrations and renewals this calendar year. From 1 January-16 September 2019, there was a total of 558 processed registrations, which represents an increase of 54% in comparison to the same period in 2018. Please note the above figures are not inclusive of the recent regulatory change that requires Seconds to be registered. Since 1 July 2019, there have been 95 Industry Participants register as Seconds. With this figure included in the overall statistics, registrations have increased by more than 80%. The Commission wants to thank all Industry Participants and Contestants for their patience and understanding during this increasingly busy period.
