Diverse WA training

Diverse WA is cultural competency training for working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.

Group of CaLD peopleThe Western Australian Government takes pride in the State's cultural, linguistic and faith diversity. It is committed to building an inclusive and cohesive society that values and supports this diversity.

The State's diversity offers both benefits and challenges. For the public sector one of the main challenges is in providing appropriate services for all communities. All Western Australians have the right to access services and achieve equitable outcomes.

Diverse WA can help the government achieve its vision of an inclusive WA by training public sector staff to assist people from CaLD backgrounds.

Diverse WA is available free-of-charge to all WA public sector employees and local government staff. WA based non-government organisations (NGOs) can request access by emailing the Office of Multicultural Interests at diversewa@omi.wa.gov.au
