Bunbury plugs into e-waste solution
The City of Bunbury is one of three local governments to receive State Government funding from the WasteSorted e-Waste grants program.
The City will be using its $40,000 grant to add a permanent, all-encompassing e-waste drop off location to its upgraded Bunbury – McCombe Road Recycling Centre, expanding the scope of its e-waste collections.
That means City residents will now be able to drop off everything with a plug, battery or cord.
The City’s expanded e-waste collection is part of a strategy to provide an engaging, efficient service, which is a better recycling experience for community members already seeking out recycling opportunities. It’s also aiming to be more appealing to 18 to 34 year olds.
The City is keeping recycling local by partnering with Total Green Recycling for the project.
