Local clubs share in State Government support
The State Government has committed more than $1 million of funding to 27 projects supporting club development.
The funding is a part of the Every Club grant scheme.
The Shire of Broome will receive $60,000 support towards the Club Development Officer role, assisting the 45 sporting clubs in Broome with capacity building and sustainability, particularly around governance and financial management.
The Shire of Derby-West Kimberley will receive a $30,000 grant for the SDWK Every Club Project to provide personal development and program support to sport and recreation organisations, primarily in Derby and Fitzroy Crossing.
The Every Club grant scheme provides funding that enables eligible State Sporting Associations (SSAs) and local governments to support the State's 5500 sport and recreation clubs and their volunteers to build their organisational capacity and capability.
Among the successful applicants are the Shires of Broome and Derby-West Kimberley and the Cities of Vincent, Fremantle, Joondalup and Kwinana.
