Regional volunteer coaches and officials get up to $1000 for training expenses
Applications are now open for volunteer coaches and officials in regional Western Australia to receive up to $1000 to support skill development and accreditation.

The funding is to assist volunteer coaches and officials in regional WA with out-of-pocket travel and accommodation costs to participate in sport-specific courses to obtain high-level accreditations.
The subsidy can be for travel undertaken between 1 September 2020 and 28 February 2021.
The subsidy is available under the Coach and Official Education Subsidy administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. While this subsidy is being run as a pilot program, the intention is for it to be incorporated into
an expanded travel scheme alongside the existing Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy Scheme.
